Hugs & Tails evolved out of the love for our own 2 dogs. Knowing the joy they get from walking, and playing in the acres and acres of the beautiful, local Lee Valley Nature Reserve, which is just a stone's throw away from our home in Waltham Abbey.
We wanted to share this experience with others and for the past 5 years we have. Going from strength to strength through recommendations alone, caring for the Essex and surrounding areas.
We offer a professional, personal, secure environment in our own home, where no stay is too short or too long. We are that caring alternative to kennels, with many of our furry friends coming back time and time again. We are fully insured and CRB cleared.
We personally take care of all your pet's requirements, from regular exercise, feeding, sleeping and of course plenty of cuddle time. Rest assured, they have a holiday too. We create for them a home from home, with little disruption to their daily routine. Our walks last up to 90mins, more if required. However, we will accommodate your pets to their individual needs.
We completely understand when choosing a place for your pet to stay, whether for a day(s), a week(s) or month(s), how important that decision is. Be assured that here at Hugs & Tails, we take care of your family pet as if they were our family member.
Prior to you booking , we arrange a "Meet & Greet", where by you are invited with your pet to come over for that all important initial introduction. This is a great opportunity for you to fill in our questionnaire of details we need to know whilst your pet is staying with us.
If you require pick up and drop off, we can arrange this service, to and from the vets, the groomers or anywhere your pet needs to be, including of course coming to us. For that service our prices start from £20 per journey.
Our boarding rates, which are calculated by the day or part day including both the day of arrival and departure, start from £20 per dog per day, discounts given to families with 2 or more dogs.
Please note that we cannot accept un-neutered male dogs over the age of 9 months or bitches in season. Whilst your un-neutered male may be non aggressive on his own, he cannot however, control how with his scent appears to other males, be it on our walks or in our home. This situation would not be responsible, and through experience, we have to be cautious Also, in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, we cannot accept any Pit Bull Terrier types or any other known dogs in this group.
